　片付けたのは、もっぱら本の置き場の移動ですが、広くはない部屋の中のあちこちに、小さな段ボール箱を書棚代わりに置いていて、生活スペースがかなり手狭になっていました。
　そこで、ムリして本を縦に立てるのではなく、横置きつまり平積みにして、もともと横２列に並べているデスクの上に、壁を背にしてとりあえず６列各６５cmずつ積み上げてみたら、部屋の空きスペースがずいぶんと確保できました。
　そして、それまで経屋のあちこちに散らばっている本たちのうち、とりわけ重要なた愛書たちが、目に見える場所に勢揃いしたので、ホッとすると同時に、愛書たちの背表紙を見ているだけで、ふつふつとやる気が出てきました。
　え？なんのやる気？　もちろんシゴトです。具体的には「文芸創作」と「電子と紙の出版」。
　ということで、この愛書たちは、背中をぐいぐい押してくれるという点で、ことごとく「わが友」でもあります。
　ちなみに、「物としての本」への愛着は電子書籍で味わえるものではなく、さらに、ほかのどんなデジタル情報媒体からも得られないものです。紙の本だけがもっている「触感」つまり「手触り感」を通して、知識や情報を与えてくれるだけでなく、思いや感情に心がかきたてられます。
　したがって、わが愛書たちは「わが人生の友」そのものになります。

　きょうは１２月２１日木曜日。うーん、冬だなあ…。きょうも寒いっすぅ〜@_@;

　でも、ひとつだけ、楽しみがあります（＾＾♪
　楽しみに主役は、先月博多まで旅した帰りに、とある道の駅で間違えて買ってしまった渋柿たちです。
　休憩がてらふらっと立ち寄ったとき、「わ、やすい！」と値札に反応して反射的に買ってしまった、袋入りの１０個の柿。
　これが、ふつうの甘い柿とはちがって渋柿だったことに気づいたのは、家に帰ってガブッとかじったときでした。
「うわっ、渋っ！」と、そのときやっと、買い間違えたことを知りました。
　でも、捨てるのはもったいないし、返品交渉をするには遠すぎるし、じゃあこの際と、干し柿にして食べることにしました。
　ということで、遠いむかし、この時期、親たちが作っていた吊るし柿を手伝ったのを思い出しながら、作ってみました。
　吊るす所は、南側のサッシ戸の室内側。ずっと以前から、サッシ戸の中ほどにスチール製の物干竿を下げていて、包装用のプチプチを目隠し代わりに掛けているので、その物干竿に吊るすことにしました。
　紐は荷造り用のがあるので、これで柿の枝の付け根を巻いて、横に鈴なりに１０個ぶらさげることにしました。
　そして、そう決めたうえで、まずは、柿の皮を一つひとつ丁寧にむいて、一袋１０個分の柿を窓際に並べました。
　ちなみに、ベランダに並べなかったのは、カラスに食べられると思ったからです。
　で、２週間ほどたったら、柿たちはずいぶんと水分が抜けて半分くらいの大きさまでしぼみ、色合いも当初のみずみずしいクリームイエローから、乾いて固さ飲ました赤黒い感じになってきたので、「もういいんじゃないかな…」と、待ちきれずに食べはじめました。
　果肉はまだ柔らかみがあり、渋みはほとんど消えていて、ほどよい甘みが口の中に広がります。
　お手製の干し柿を食べるために、皮を剥いて、吊るし柿にして、熟成するのを半月ほど待つ…。そんな、下ごしらえの手間とちょっと長めなウェイティングはありますが、それもあって、自分で作った干し柿は、なかなかの「美味」でした。
　もともと柿は大好物ですが市販の干し柿はお高いので、買い出しのときは、横目でチラッと見て通り過ぎていました。
　なので、ちょっとの手間のあとしばらく辛抱すれば、大好物にありつけることを知ってしまったので、先日、行きつけのスーパーで、大玉の渋柿８個入りの袋を目にしたとき、税込480円とリーズナブルなことから、つい先日、第２回目の干し柿製作をしました。
　ということで、第２グループが発進したわけですが、このグループは、タイミング的に年末年始には食べられそうな感じです。
　ただこうなると、柿は旬のものだし、干し柿が楽しめるのもいまのうちです。なので、店頭で買えるあいだは、１週間ほどの時間差で、五月雨式(さみだれ)にこしらえることにしました。
　なお、本格的な吊るし柿は、ふつう縦に５〜６個かそれ以上並べて干すのでかなり重くなり、竿からずり落ちないよう固定するのがひと苦労です。
　でも、自分の場合は一度に作るのがせいぜい１０個ていどなので、一本の紐に結び付けはするものの、竿にそって１個ずつ横に並べています。
　とうことで、うーん、“熟成”する日が楽しみです。ついつい、まだかなあ…と指先で実を押さえてしまいます（＾＾♪

　ただ、大晦日と元日は別です。この２日はやはり、気持ちを切り替えるために、仕事モードから離れます。ということで、きょうもがんばるぞ（＾＾）

　横断歩道をわたることなく対岸までわたり、数百m離れた隣の橋ま行って、そこからこちら岸にもどって自宅の駐車場までもどってくるという、河を挟んだ２kmあまりのぐるっと周回ウオーキング。夕暮れ前の気持ちいいひと時だ。

　きょうは１２月１日金曜日。いよいよ今年も最終月となりました。でも今年の１２月はいまひとつ師走な感じがしない。きっと暖かいからだと思う。それに、この夏の異常な猛暑とその“残り火”が１１月の初めまで感じられたことも、暖冬気分をよりいっそう強めているような気がする。
　でも、いつも聴いている最北のラジオ局は、１２月なるやいなや、一日に何度もクリスマスソングを流しはじめた。この状態は２４日まで続く。なので、このラジオ局のおかげで、かろうじていまは１２月だと“感じる”ことができる。
　そう、今日もたくさんかかっていた。だから１２月になったんだ…まちがいなく（＾＾）
