With that in mind, when I looked at Wikipedia's "Akira Yoshimura" > "6 Main Works" again, I found "Choei Escape" and "Sakuradamongai Incident" set in the late Edo period. Also, marine survival things such as "drifting" and "ship breaking" may be interesting.
Furthermore, when I look closely at the list, "Steller sea lion", "Nikolai Distress", and "The Group of Fish Shadows" seem to be related to the Northern Sea. In other words, there were still works similar to "Sea Festival" and "Rinzou Mamiya".
Also, there seems to be a vaccination trilogy of "The Star of the North Sky", "The Sea Crossing Flowers", and "The Flower of Snow", and the previous two works seem to be related to the northern sea. I definitely have to read these works. Also, "The Big Tsunami over Sanriku Coast" is an interesting title. It's a work written before 311….
This person's style is quite helpful --- because I feel something similar in temperament (≒ constellation) --- but when I create literary works, I do not simply imitate them, while feeling "closeness", but also paying attention to making the differences stand out, I would like to continue reading each work.
So, first of all, I will collect the above works (^^v Can I have them in my hands (^^?

吉村昭『間宮林蔵』、やっと「十二」まで読み終わりました。残るは最終章の「十三」だけ。味わい深い長編小説をじっくり読むと、それが自分の日々の生活の一部であるかのように感じられるから、不思議です。自分はいま、林蔵さんの人生を伴走をしている感じ。『海の祭礼』を読み終わるときも一抹の寂しさを感じたけれど、あと1章で林蔵さんともお別れとなると、よりいっそうゆっくり読みたい気分です(^^;
Akira Yoshimura's "Rinzo Mamiya", I finally finished reading up to "12". All that's left is the final chapter "13". It's strange because when I read a tasteful feature-length novel, it feels as if it's part of my daily life. I feel like I'm now accompaning Mr. Rinzo's life. When I finished reading "The Festival of the Sea", I felt a little lonely. Well I say goodbye to Rinzo in one more chapter, so I feel like reading it even more slowly (^^;

I haven't read it for a while after reading Akira Yoshimura's "Mamiya Rinzo" a few days after May 24th, and even the last line of "11" on page 432.
Today, while it was raining heavily, I went to the "very disappointing place" on New Year's Day and worked for a while on the back seat in my car, but after that, I met Mr. Rinzo for the first time in a long time. Of course in the book (laughs). I read up to page 444 in the middle of "Twelve", and it depicts Mr. Hayashizo, who is over fifty years of age and is very active as a secret of the shogunate.
In the latter half of "11", Hayashizo was "liberated" from the Siebold Incident, and after that, he had no wife or children, his parents passed away, and while becoming a person of canopy solitude, he seems to be walking his life as a covert of the shogunate. I think he has a clean life.
Well, what will happen in the latter half of "12"? And how about the final chapter "13"?
It's very interesting, but somehow, when I finish reading it, I feel a sense of loss. So I was able to thoroughly enjoy the whole "Sakhalin Expedition" that I wanted to know the most, and I also understood the history of the Siebold Incident. Well, I would like to read it slowly and carefully.

Akira Yoshimura's "Mamiya Rinzo", its "11" are stories after the exploration of Sakhalin. I have just read up to 416 pages (out of 495 pages) in the paperback edition.
When a ship from Dejima to the Netherlands ran aground in the waters
near Japan, Siebold's espionage activity was discovered. Siebold and all
those who cooperated with him were captured and severely punished; that
process is described with a calm gaze.
Mr. Rinzo was involved in this big incident caused by Siebold, so to speak, in the form of collateral damage. Then, receiving a secret reconnaissance order after the settlement of this incident, he headed all the way from Edo to Dejima in Nagasaki, and after he engaged firmly in covert activities, he returned to Edo.
However,
unfortunately, his
bad reputation that he learned in Nagasaki was also spread in Edo, and
in the public, he was thought that he had secretly informed the head of
"Siebold's collaborators" on the Japanese side. For this reason, Mr.
Rinzo changed from the hero of the Sakhalin expedition to the secret
informant for his self-protection. And it seems that he will be exposed to the cold gaze of people around him, and will face some difficulties such as moving.
A German doctor named Siebold was a very dangerous man.
He was a quite cunning German who sold himself to Russia when he
couldn't be dealt with by Japan. Dazzled by the Western medical
technology he showed, it seems that there is still a strong
tendency to treat him as a good foreigner, but it is outrageous.
Oops, the story was derailed, but the story is still in progress, so this time around here. See you (^^b

Akira Yoshimura "Mamiya Rinzo". I have finished reading "Ten". The paperback edition is on page 372. So far, Mr. Rinzo is in his late 40s. To the point where he lost his only clotest relative, his mother, and had no wife, then became lonely for the rest of his life.
The survey of Ezochi has already been completed not only on the coast but also in the inland area, and the feat was achieved in the middle of "Ten", so the magnificent story about Mr. Rinzo and Hokkaido and Sakhalin is up to 361 pages from the beginning.
After that, his good legs, sharp observation eyes, extremely calm attitude, and strong crisis management consciousness were evaluated by the Shogunate, and it seems that he will play the role of "secret agent".
However, I have not grasped the details yet, but it seems that he will be involved in the incident caused by Siebold and encounter difficulties, and the history of that change seems to be drawn between the remaining "11" and "13".
I would like to read this story slowly and slowly in between Shigoto. I would like to read this story slowly and slowly between sigots.

Akira Yoshimura "Rinzo Mamiya". Read up to "eight". The paperback edition is on page 291. Mr. Rinzo's work was highly valued by the Shogunate government, and he received an appointment with the exceptional career from the bottom of the shogunate officials in Edo where he was on a business trip.
He was afraid that he might be accused of being a felony of committing "national prohibition" by deviating from the life of exploration in northern Sakhalin to the east of the continent, but he was relieved to have received a frank evaluation without any pursuit procedure. It was good, good.

Akira Yoshimura "Rinzo Mamiya". The paperback edition has a short pause on page 259. Interesting. In this scene, Mr. Rinzo himself demonstrated that Sakhalin is a long and narrow island from north to south by returning by boat after crossing the continent on the opposite shore.
Then, in order to report to the Shogunate the "facts", the state of control of the Qing dynasty at the eastern end of the continent, and the fact that the influence of Russia has not reached, it is a scene heading to the southern part of Sakhalin.
The farewell to the chief and villagers of the Giliyak people is extremely simple in terms of text expression, but it is touching just to imagine. By the way, "7" will end in a few more pages, so I will add it here again when I get there.
I have read up to "7". After Mr. Hayashi completed the topographical survey of the northern part of Sakhalin, he also completed "exploring" to Deren in the Qing dynasty, and after a year and two months, he returned safely to the southernmost tip of Sakhalin 白主[Shiranushi] in Sakhalin.
When Mr.Rinzo returned to the Shiranushi, I felt like I was back. And then he immediately returned to Soya before the freezing of the sea. And when he arrived at Soya, I also had a feeling of "I'm back!". At that time, I was wrapped in the impression that the reader mymself was as if I had returned to my hometown.
Hmmm interesting. It's a plain, record-like style, but it's fascinating.

Akira Yoshimura "Rinzo Mamiya". I read it slowly, or with a sufficient gap. Now, the paperback edition is on page 231.
Mr. Rinzo has just started a true "Exploration" trip since he landed on the eastern end of the Asian continent (東韃靼[East Sakhalin]) on the opposite bank of northern Sakhalin. Along the way, he was abducted by the rough locals at the stop and was about to lose his life, but the companion kicked them away and died in nine deaths had a narrow escape from death.
As I read further from there, I can know that the particularly noisy trade in the city named デレン[Deren or Delen (or other spelling)] where the Qing dynasty's branch office is located, and the scene in which Mr. Rinzo, who was interested in officials in Qing, interacts with chinese character writings.
Of particular interest is when Mr.Rinzo asked them to try something related to the "義経伝説[Legend of Yoshitsune]", not only the responses of the Qing dynasty officials but also the accompanied chief seemed to support the theory.
Here, I closed the book, got up from the chair, and for a while looked at the sky outside the window ... The sky before dusk is refreshing with still blue. I'll stop at page 246 today.

[Akira Yoshimura]. I read it gradually. It is a paperback version and 192 pages. This is the scene in which Mr. Rinzo sailed north in a narrow and shallow strait in the northern part of Sakhalin by a small boat and advanced to the sea area near the northern end of Sakhalin for the first time in the world.
Interesting. It feels like I'm "exploring" as Mr. Hayashizo. It is a hard sentence like a documentary, but it has a style with a taste that bites hard スルメ[surume, dried squid] and dried 昆布[kombu, kelp]. I think it's a style close to 中島敦[Ton Nakajima]. It's a record literary style, so it's not beautiful like that.
However, once I get used to this person's hard style, I want to take bathe regularly in the writings written by this writer; it's strange for me. First of all, I feel that the basic temperament of this person suits me in the same constellation of the horoscope.
I want to take in this writer's style in my own way …… Yes, I'll arrange it a little lighter.
Well, after writing such a thing, I wanted to read more, so I finished reading up to "6" which ends on page 208.
Mr. Rinzo reached the northernmost tip of Sakhalin immediately after my reading it.
He was planning to go around the island and return to the southernmost departure point. But he gave up because it was impossible to sail along the east coast by small boat and the land route was too difficult for local residents to approach.
However, it is true that he saw the ocean spreading to the north with his own eyes, and he got the testimony of the local natives that "the sea is ahead from here", so he was able to confirm that Sakhalin was an island. Therefore he (and 6 Ainu servants) turned back on the original ocean route.
However, at the stopover destination on the way, instead of returning as it is, he strongly wanted to cross the continent facing west at this time. And he decided to wait for the opportunity to land on the continent with one loyal Ainu servant.
Well, in "7", it seems to be an exploration story at the eastern end of the continent. I'm looking forward to it.

[Akira Yoshimura]. I read up to "5". The 164th page for
the paperback edition. Mr. Rinzo went north on the west bank of the
northern part of Sakhalin and reached the vicinity of the narrowest part
in front of the mouth of the Amur River on the continent, but since it
was difficult to go further north by boat, he turned back to the
southernmost tip of Sakhalin with a strong conviction that "Sakhalin is
not a peninsula, but a remote island"; the above story is written.
The style of expression is
similar to that of "Festival of the Sea", and it has a simple and
straightforward expression style that is close to a documentary
document, but on the contrary, it leads to arousing the "imagination"
that is the real pleasure of reading, and the simple interest of "what
will happen next, what awaits them in their path?" slowly rises in my
heart. So, in a sense, it's hard to find a good resting point (laughs).

From the end of the year to the beginning of the year, I read "The Festival of the Sea" (Bunshun Bunko) at once. The feature-length historical novel by Akira Yoshimura (476 pages in total). There were many passages where it was as if I was reading a historical documentary, but as the time for reading approached, I felt like I didn't want to leave the novel world of this work that I had been bathing in until then.
Basically, it was because I had an attachment to the two main characters, but there were various scenes, and people who appeared little by little there. And even the atmosphere of the era at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate became intertwined with each scene, and I was completely absorbed in the unique story world woven by Mr. Yoshimura.
He
is not a writer like Mr. Mishima who can sparkle with his brilliant
literary talent, but his writing ability is also amazing. At first
glance, the writing style is difficult to grasp, so at first I read it
as if picking up the letters one by one, but as I became accustomed to
the Yoshimura style, before I knew it, I was drawn into the world of the
work.
As a "fag end of writer", I want to emulate this skill. No, I wanted to imitate this style quite a bit...(smile).
And
now, with all those expectations, I'm starting to read "Rinzou Mamiya"
(Kodansha Bunko). This time, instead of reading all at once, I will enjoy reading carefully and read it in between Shigoto. I started reading from the latter half of January, and now I have just read 127 of the 501 pages in the paperback book. Apparently, I've started living with this feature-length novel recently...(smile).
By the
way, as for Mr. Rinzo Mamiya, FM Wappy's program "From Waichi's Nostalgic
Showa to Tomorrow" at 10 o'clock on Monday mornings also introduces his
achievements in detail several times because he has a deep connection to
Hokkaido and Sakhalin. In addition, this broadcast in several times is one of the series that I would like to listen to again and again.
So, this broadcast was also a stimulus, and I wanted to know more about Rinzou Mamiya, so I also have this book by Akira Yoshimura in my hand.
